The most amazin, tastin cake you’ll ever make!

Cake Mixture;
3/4 cup – Sugar
1/4 cup – Shortening
1  – Egg
1/2 cup – Milk
2 cups – Sifted Flour
1/2 tsp. – Salt
2 tsp. – Baking Powder
2 cups – Drained BlueBerries
1 – Toothpick

Preparation;
Heat oven to 375°

Wet Ingredients;
Mix thoroughly Sugar, Shortening and egg. Stir in milk using a whisk.

Dry Ingredients;
In Seperate Bowl sift together Flour, Baking Powder and Salt.

Combine;
Stirring in slowly the dry to wet ingredients.
Blend in BlueBerries, slowly turning batter with spatula, trying not to mash the blueberries.  Spread into a greased ( pam with flour ) 11″x7″ or 9″x9″ square glass pan.

Crumb Topping;
1/2 cup – Flour
3/4 cup – Sugar
1/2 cup – Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp. – Salt
1/2 tsp. – Cinnamon
1 – Stick Salted Butter

Dry Ingredients;
Mix all dry ingredients into bowl stir well.  Cut in the one stick of butter ( 1/3 Tbls. size ) into the dry ingredients. Start to cut the butter up and continue to cut until the mixture becomes crumbly.  It should also be a consistent brown but not MUSH, so don’t use a fork.  Use a butter knife.  Should take about 20 minutes by hand to be right.

Finish er’ Up;
Sprinkle Crumb Topping on cake mixture already in pan. Bake 45-50 minutes.  Might take about 7 extra minutes so check to make sure your toothpick is clean after piercing the middle of the cake after the first 48 minutes. If not, then put back in oven for 7 more minutes and recheck. Should be fine. Adorn with Confectioner’s sugar.
